We had a small ice storm here last night. I began to get a headache before I went to bed last night and now today it is much worse. I can feel my neck swollen and the throbbing in my head is getting worse. I, of course, have taken my morning pain meds, but they don't seem to want to work for me. I fear that I will have to take a muscle relaxer soon and hope that that takes the edge off.
With Fibro, the weather can effect so much, headaches are just the start of it. It is difficult to know how it will effect you until it happens. The best thing I can recommend is pain medications, lots of rest on the couch, dim the room if you can, and drink lots of fluids. Perhaps a hot shower will work for some and loosen up those muscles, but if it is bad, I know the feeling of struggling to stay standing long enough for the hot water to do any good.
I am going to follow my advice for today and not clean the things that I planned on cleaning, it can wait til tomorrow -- which is something that many with Fibro understand -- it will get done, maybe just not today and that's ok.
