I have pain meds that are prescribed to me and I can barely move in the mornings without taking them. Sometimes I am in so much pain that I want to take them before I even sit up in bed. Yet, I have to wait til I wake up a little bit and can eat something before I can take them. They don't cause stomach problems, but when they begin to work, I feel very drugged and light-headed. I have learned that I cannot simply eat a yogurt and then take them, I have to eat a full breakfast.
It is difficult to do first thing in the morning as I can hardly move long enough to get myself juice some mornings. I am grateful that when I my husband is home in the mornings, he cooks for me.
It is important that when you take pain meds an it is recommended that you take them with food, do so. Otherwise, you may feel heavy all day long.
With the weather being what it is right now, it is certainly difficult to exercise and eating full meals in the morning and not being able to work them off contributes to maintaining a weight that is unwelcomed. Thus, with fibro there is always a challenge and one must weigh the pros and cons of even the simplest things. I can be very frustrating!
